"My work is full of texture, which I believe enhances the feel and look of jewelry"
Jacob Keleher has collected gemstones his entire life. When he was a child, his family took cross-country road trips in their wood-paneled station wagon that enabled him to search for rocks along the roadside and to look for unusual stones to buy as souvenirs. Always adventurous, he traveled with his family from his home in Buffalo, New York, to Pennsylvania and Florida and Arizona, which was always his favorite. The desert offered a treasure trove of hidden objects just waiting to be uncovered.
Today, his passion for stones has grown into a fascination for how metal can be added and manipulated to enhance a stone’s natural beauty. As a jeweler, he pays close attention to the lines and texture of metal, and to the story a gemstone can tell when it is in a piece of jewelry. It is important to Jacob that his jewelry be beautiful, functional, and of such high quality that customers will enjoy its timelessness for generations.
Jacob has a Bachelor’s degree in economics and was a manager at Starbucks for 19 years before transitioning to jewelry on a full time basis in 2021. He trained under James LeTerneau, but many of the techniques he uses he created himself. His first jewelry line was introduced in 2009.
