Nancy’s contemporary jewelry designs are inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds her Maine studio. To create her handmade jewelry, she uses the anticlastic raising technique. Flat patterns are cut from sheets of gold and silver and hammered systematically over specialized tools. The final form is filed, sanded, and buffed to a high polish to accentuate the sculptural lines. Her sculptural Snuggling Pendant is handmade from Sterling Silver and 18 Karat Yellow Gold Bimetal. The modern pendant is 1.3” long and is presented on a 16” or 18” Rubber Cord with a Sterling Silver Clasp.
(Nancy Linkin passed away after a long fight with breast cancer in June 2019. In accordance with her wishes, Luke Sunde, her longtime friend and employee, and Liz Allen are continuing to produce her designs so that others may be inspired by the natural forms and fluid grace of her sculptural jewelry.)
