Nancy Linkin uses the anticlastic raising technique to create her contemporary designs. Flat patterns are cut from sheets of gold and silver and hammered systematically over specialized tools. The final form is filed, sanded, and buffed to a high polish which accentuates the sculptural lines. Her unique Crossing Earrings are handmade from Sterling Silver and 18 Karat Yellow Gold Bimetal and are 1.5” long.
(Nancy Linkin passed away after a long fight with breast cancer in June 2019. In accordance with her wishes, Luke Sunde, her longtime friend and employee, and Liz Allen are continuing to produce her designs so that others may be inspired by the natural forms and fluid grace of her sculptural jewelry.)
