Nancy Linkin’s contemporary jewelry is inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds her Maine studio. Her Half Open Cuff, which is 0.5” at its widest point and has a 1.0” opening, is handmade from Sterling Silver and 18 Karat Gold Bi-metal. To create her modern jewelry, Nancy uses the anticlastic raising technique. Flat patterns are cut from sheets of gold and silver and hammered systematically over specialized tools. The final form is filed, sanded, and buffed to a high polish. The fine finish accentuates the sculptural lines of her modern art jewelry. All cuffs have a standard 6.5” inside circumference unless another size is requested. Please see our blog post to determine your size.
(Nancy Linkin passed away after a long fight with breast cancer in June 2019. In accordance with her wishes, Luke Sunde, her longtime friend and employee, and Liz Allen will continue to produce her designs so that others may be inspired by the natural forms and fluid grace of her sculptural jewelry.)
