Keiko Mita’s reimagined Interwoven Pin 2, which also can be worn as a pendant, features three sections of Sterling Silver and one section of 14 Karat Yellow Gold. The silver sections gradually become darker through varying degrees of oxidation creating a pinwheel sense of movement. The modern pin/pendant from her Moire Collection is 39 mm square, slightly larger than the original. Moiré is the pattern that occurs naturally between interfacing grids. This bold yet elegant contemporary jewelry collection explores positive and negative space and the designs created by simple clean lines and overlapping patterns.
