Keiko Mita discovered metal craft while studying fine arts in Japan. Initially she produced large, embossed works, but eventually she turned her attention to sculpture, objects of art, and ultimately jewelry. Her artistic Willow Leaf Earrings are handmade from 14 Karat Yellow Gold and Oxidized Sterling Silver with 0.12 Carats Diamond accents. The modern earrings from her Moiré Collection are 43 mm long and 8.5 mm wide. Moiré is the pattern that occurs naturally between interfacing grids. This modern jewelry collection explores positive and negative space and the designs created by simple clean lines and overlapping patterns.
