Liaung Chung Yen’s Stone Series brings a drawing quality to his jewelry by using linear elements to depict the structure and natural outline of rocks and stones. The wire structures require extensive soldering to create strength and durability in what appears to be fragile and delicate forms. By arranging the wire structures and precious and semi-precious stones in a perfect setting, Yen depicts nature by combining landscapes with rocks and minerals.
